Agreements with cities
The purpose is to reinforce the image and participation of Madrid with other cities of the world which collaborate in organizations operating at the local level.
To do so, we assist accredited diplomatic and foreign missions located in Madrid, welcoming their representatives or establishing an exchange of information and experiences of mutual interest concerning good governance and practices.
Our commitment focuses on the conduction of work programmes for official delegations, institutional visits and activities stemming from already existing agreements with other cities that maintain relationships with Madrid. Nevertheless, these agreements are not an essential condition to establish relations with our city. Indeed, there are many one-time actions and concrete projects in which the participation of our sectionhas been highly satisfactory, and they do not imply a long-term engagement or binding juridical requirements.
