On February 27th 2025, a joint clinical conference between EMS in Aragón and SAMUR Civil Protection of Madrid was held in the Auditorium of the College of Physicians of Zaragoza. The conference was attended by expert members of EMS Aragón, SAMUR Civil Protection of Madrid and the following hospitals: Miguel Servet University Hospital and

Lozano Blesa University Clinical Hospital in Zaragoza, La Paz University Hospital and San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid.

The conference commenced at 12 noon with an opening address by the Director General for Public Health of the Government of Aragon, the President of the College of Physicians of Zaragoza and the Manager of the 061 Emergency Service of Aragon.

During the conference, five clinical cases related to various pathologies and critical situations were presented by professionals from both Emergency Services and the aforementioned four hospitals.

The first clinical case addressed the challenges of treating a polytraumatised patient, a time-dependent pathology.

This was followed by a case of cardiac arrest with transfer for ECMO. This case highlighted the importance of coordination and advanced management in cardiac emergency situations.

The third clinical case focused on the inter-hospital transfer of a paediatric patient with acute respiratory failure.

After a break and lunch, the conference continued with a case concerning smoke inhalation syndrome. This case highlighted the challenges and management of inhalation poisoning in emergencies.

The last clinical case of the day addressed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the importance of teamwork.

The conference concluded with a closing session and discussion led by Drs. Ana Isabel Recaj Ibáñez and Ervigio Corral Torres. It is worth noting the excellent spirit of collaboration between both services, together with the significant participation of the attendees, who numbered over 150 and gathered at the College of Physicians.
