A Dominican delegation of Mayors and Municipal Authorities visits the old City Hall
On Monday, January 24th, a delegation of Mayors and Municipal Authorities from the Dominican Republic was received at the former Madrid City Hall in Plaza de la Villa. The event was organised by CEF (Center of Financial Studies), in the context of “Training for Municipal Authorities in the Dominican Republic: Governance and Transparency”, a formative activity by said center.
The guests were received on behalf of the Madrid City Council by Ms. Almudena Maíllo del Valle, Head of the Tourism Delegate Area and Secretary General of the Union of Ibero-American Cities (UCCI), accompanied by Mr. Santiago Saura Martínez de Toda, Head of the Internationalization and Cooperation Delegate Area, as well as Ms. Beatriz Vigo Martín, Auditor General of the Madrid City Council.
After a few welcoming words by both councillors, a guided tour of the old first Town Hall and the Cisneros House was conducted by Mr. Ricardo Iglesias García, Head of the External Relations Service.
During the visit, they were also greeted by Mr. Carlos Granados Pérez, General Director of the Municipal Office against Fraud and Corruption and by Mr. Federico López de la Riva, Secretary General of the Plenary.
