Madrid and Buenos Aires exchange experiences about the foodservice sector after the COVID-19 pandemic

Madrid y Buenos Aires intercambian experiencias sobre el sector de la restauración tras la pandemia por COVID-19 II

Several Argentinian cities, headed by Buenos Aires have maintained a meeting by videoconference with Madrid City Council on June 12.

The main aim has been to interchange experiences about the incorporation of the foodservice sector to the normal situation in cities, after COVID-19 pandemic, although different issues related to markets, gyms and other public spaces have been also dealt with.

On the part of Buenos Aires have participated: José Luis Giusti, Minister/Councillor of Economic Development; Lucas Delfino, Deputy Secretary of Urban Federal Cooperation; Héctor Gatto, Deputy Secretary of Citizen Welfare and Francisco Resnicoff, Deputy Secretary of International and Institutional Relations.Mayors of other municipal Argentinian governments as Sergio Ongarato, Mayor of Esquel (Province of Chubut); Damián Bis, Mayor of Rawson, (Province of Chubut); Miguel Fernández, Mayor of Trenque Lauquen, (Province of Buenos Aires); Gustavo Saadi, Mayor of San Fernando de Valle de Catamarca, (Province of Catamarca) and Luis Alberto Castellano, Mayor of Rafaela, (Province of Santa Fe) have also intervened.

Representing Madrid City Council: Concepción Díaz de Villegas Soláns, General Director of Commerce and Foodservice sector; Olga Ruiz Castillo, Deputy Manager of Commerce and Markets and Ricardo Iglesias, Head of Foreign Relations Service of the Delegate Area of Internationalization and Cooperation did take part.
