Every year, thousands of large events are held in the City of Madrid, attracting mass gatherings. Due to their specific characteristics, these types of events entail a series of foreseeable risks. In 2024, SAMUR-Civil Protection provided 1,337 preventive services.

SAMUR-Civil Protection participates in these events by deploying a Foreseeable Risk Plan (FRP), which includes an analysis of the risks associated with the event, the planning of the necessary medical resources during its development, and the deployment of these resources to provide both medical assistance and Civil Protection duties, with prevention playing a fundamental role.

The personnel assigned to cover a FRP can carry out his/her activities using various types of resources: ambulances (ALS or BLS), first response motorcycles and bicycles, medical teams on foot, at an advanced medical post (AMP) or in a prevention and response unit. Available are a variety of resources which enable greater adaptability to meet the needs which may arise during an FRP.
