AI Governance

The AI roadmap includes corporate governance and, as a key component, incorporates AI governance, which enables all municipal government departments to participate in monitoring the roadmap’s progress. This is conceived as a collaborative, cross-cutting approach involving joint work between the various departments, with the Digital Office acting as the driving force, IAM as the technology enabler, and the various departments of the City Council; The following dimensions are established within this framework as a working framework to be developed

To begin developing aspects relating to AI governance, an AI Governance Working Group was established in 2025, which currently comprises the following members:

Among the objectives set by this Working Group is to analyse and establish criteria regarding the following aspects: 

  • OBLIGATION TO COMPLY WITH THE AI REGULATION​
  • SECURITY, PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
  • CLASSIFICATION OF AI SYSTEMS AND RISK ASSESSMENT​
  • PROHIBITION OF UNPERMITTED AI SYSTEMS​
  • TRANSPARENCY AND EXPLANATORY REQUIREMENTS​
  • AUDIT AND SUPERVISION​
  • INTEROPERABILITY AND STANDARDISATION REQUIREMENTS​
  • TRAINING IN THE USE OF AI​
  • IMPLEMENTATION OF A PUBLIC COMPLAINTS MECHANISM ​
  • LIABILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
